BACKGROUND

TechData, the no 1 IT product distributor in the Nordic countries, asked Houdini för the fifth time to help them with a sales campaign directed at the sales personnel of their small- to medium sized business customers.

CHALLENGE

Continuing the quiz theme from the previous Flashback campaign, Houdini were asked to provide a means for the campaign sponsors – leading manufacturers such as Philips, IBM, Canon, Cisco and HP – to input information about their products and brands, which could be used for quiz questions in a trivia game. The game was required to be quick, easy to understand and above all, fun! With a total campaign time of four months, durability was also an important factor.

RESULT

Houdini set up a series of key questions and built an input tool for the participating sponsors , whose answers were then used as a foundation to author more than 250 trivia questions, loosely associated with the manufacturers' products. We then created a Flash-based game featuring trivia question cards that must be answered as quick as possible during 3 minutes of furious gameplay.
